Dr. Sci. Med. Ana Jovićević
Epidemiology specialist, Doctor of Sciences in oncology, Research Associate in medical sciences – medicine, employed at the Institute for Oncology and Radiology of Serbia as Head of Service. She focuses on epidemiology and prevention of malignant diseases, prevention of hospital infections, and support for oncology patients. She completed advanced training in cancer epidemiology and prevention at the U.S. National Cancer Institute, the International Agency for Research on Cancer of the World Health Organization in Lyon, and screening centers in France.
As a member of the Republic's expert commissions of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia, she participated in developing the national guidelines for prevention of malignant diseases and national programs for: cancer control, control of chronic non-communicable diseases, early detection of breast cancer, and early detection of cervical cancer.
As a member of the Republic's Expert Commission for Tobacco Control since 2003, she has participated in developing strategic documents, laws, and guidelines, as well as campaigns, research, and education in this field.
She is the Chair of the Patient Support Working Group at the Institute for Oncology and Radiology of Serbia.
She has been a member of the Serbian Cancer Society since 1991 and Deputy President since 2023. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Mission Health association.
