Sara Bojanić

Dedicated to empowering women with breast cancer through better information, understanding, and support.

Sara Bojanić is the National Delegate of Europa Donna Serbia – The Serbian Breast Cancer Forum within Europa Donna – The European Breast Cancer Coalition. She holds a degree in communications and a Master's degree in Public Health from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade. In September 2026 she defended her Master's thesis on 'The Public Health Significance of Information and Communication with Breast Cancer Patients'.

As part of her professional development, Sara successfully completed the Europa Donna Breast Cancer Advocacy Training Course (Milan, November 2023), the Europa Donna Breast Cancer Advocacy Leader Conference (Milan, November 2024), and the WECAN Academy, dedicated to advocacy tools and skills, health systems, public policy, and access to treatment, research, and data (Gdańsk, June 2026).

In September 2026 she also took part in the HUDERIA Academy for Health, organized by the Council of Europe in cooperation with the OECD and with the support of the Alan Turing Institute.

She has spoken and presented at numerous national and international conferences and congresses, including Cancer Week (Kancerološka nedelja), one of the most important national oncology meetings in Serbia, the European Breast Cancer Conference (EBCC), and the ESMO Breast Congress.

A project she designed, focused on nutritional support for oncology patients, was recognized as one of the three best initiatives in Europe at the Europa Donna Pan-European Conference in Zagreb in 2023.

In November 2027 she will serve as lead coordinator of the collaboration between patient organizations from Serbia and Europe for the European Public Health Conference (EPH Conference), the largest public health conference in Europe.
