Dr Jovana Vuković
During her studies, she was a scholarship recipient of the Fund for Young Talents – Dositeja. After graduating from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, she began her professional career at the City Institute of Public Health Belgrade, in the Center for Epidemiology within the Department for Disease Control and Prevention. During this period, she gained experience in epidemiological surveillance, public health data analysis, and implementation of preventive activities. She also participated in the interdisciplinary national project CoV2Soul.
Subsequently, as part of the employment program for the most successful graduates of the Faculty of Medicine, she began her residency in social medicine at the City Institute of Public Health Belgrade, where she is currently in her final year of specialization.
Her professional work in public health has directed her interest toward disease prevention, health promotion, and improvement of healthcare systems, in line with a contemporary approach that emphasizes the importance of education and empowerment of individuals in maintaining health. She is particularly interested in improving the health of women and pregnant women through public health programs and initiatives.
Her professional interests also include the application of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in healthcare systems, with the aim of improving accessibility, efficiency, and quality of healthcare. She is currently attending the European Public Health Association (EUPHA) 'AI Introduction Course for Healthcare and Public Health Professionals'.
She is a member of the Serbian Public Health Association and the European Public Health Association (EUPHA).
